Most of the riding lessons are in the ring but we do go out for a trail ride through the back of the property on Fridays. All riding lessons are taught by USHJA Certified Trainer Courtney Broka and all beginner riders will have a camp counselor assisting them with each horse.

Kids bring a lunch and plenty to drink, we have a refrigerator to keep things cold or bring a cooler, long pants to ride in and they may bring shorts to change into.We have extra helmets or bring a properly fitted bicycle helmet, boots or some type of boot with a smooth bottom and a heel.

Each kid gets his/her own brush set to keep as well as a T-shirt, and any arts and crafts they make throughout the week.

The kids ride in the morning so it’s not too hot, then they eat lunch, then horsemanship and/ or arts/ crafts activities. (Horsemanship examples include—Bathing horses, braiding, clipping, wrapping legs, learning about general care, etc. Arts/ Crafts include—making horse treats, horse shoe picture frames, horse magnets, etc.) The arts/crafts are inside the barn so the kids can cool off if it’s really hot outside.

Check out the Lesson Info page to see pictures of our wonderful lesson horses!

The farm is located about a mile and a half from Birmingham Crossroads, about seven miles from the Crabapple Kroger and Windward Pkwy.

The farm is really beautiful: 26 acres, large riding ring with jumps, fields to ride in, access to trails, large 20-stall barn with an air-conditioned office, bathroom, tack rooms, feed room and wash racks.

If you would like more info. or would like to sign-up. Feel free to call with any questions or stop by the farm to watch a lesson or check out the facility.
